Yep, still pregnant...

The big girls have been at girl scout day camp every day this week. Matt and I felt bad for the little two being stuck home with us all day and decided to take them to a petting farm near our house one day, and we all had so much fun. It started out with a pony ride for the kids, which of course Livvy was terrified of and refused to go. But here is Tess on her pony ride:
This place was so cool because you could go into the pens with all of the animals, except the ones that were big enough to crush you (steer, llamas, and alpacas). Here is Livvy being nibbled by the sheep:
And Tess running away from the sheep:
She refused to hold the adult chickens, but LOVED the baby chicks. (The one warning before walking into the chicken coop was to be careful not to step on any eggs):
Liv and I thought the tractor was cool. My shirt is being ripped off of me by Tess in her hurry to get away from it, who did not think it was cool:
Liv and I were in agreement that the turkeys were kind of scary too. Shortly after this picture was taken Matt got pecked by one of them, confirming our fears.:
The pigs were what Tess was wanting to see the most:
Livvy refusing to go inside of one of the gates. She kept making this very concerned face and and saying the same word that we have yet to figure out. Sounds a bit like "Day-ku", and it's not thank you, hmmm, not a clue:
Livvy milked a cow:
And then Tess agreed to try after Livvy wasn't crushed or damaged in any way:
Matt liked the baby horse's teeth. Tess did not:
She had to climb to reach to pet the mommy horse's back:
There were lots of bunnies:
Tess thought the tiny baby pigs would be her favorite:
But a whole room full of barn kittens won by a landslide:

Becca and Tia have been learning new songs every day at camp. Here they are performing a couple of them for me. Sorry about the lighting. The light switch seemed very far away:

After last week's marathon post, this week's will seem very short, I'm sure. But I am at the point in this pregnancy where it's just way too much work to do anything with the girls that would be worth photographing, and even if I do manage to do something fun with them, I'm usually too lazy/tired to get up and go look for the camera.

So, anyways, I have a couple pictures from my phone that just got transfered to the computer. This is Liv and Easton at my house before the cabin:
And this is from one of the bad weather days, we decided to go to the Mall of America. I don't know what I was thinking. We finished probably less than a quarter of the whole thing and I was ready to start crying cause I was sooooo tired. That place is enormous:
On one of the rare occasions when my guilt over making my kids be at home every single day overtook my desire to sit and do nothing. Liv is strong enough to hang from the bars by herself:
The kids love this park because usually I will take the tire swing and swing it in giant circles above my head. That's just not gonna happen, so Tia tried her best:

The only incentive we could think of to get Tia to try to ride her bike without training wheels was a new big girl bike WITH A KICKSTAND! (The kickstand was really all she was concerned about...):
I have been craving Tres Leches cake but had been trying to behave myself until I mentioned it to Matt, who promptly went out and bought the ingredients. I wasn't the only one who thoroughly enjoyed that thing:
I just found this amusing because I vividly recall my mom always complaining because she had to trip over dogs to cook dinner at night, and here I am tripping over babies instead: (No babies were harmed in the making of this film)
I had been trying to think of something the girls could make for their baby brother for a while, so when I saw Jo-Ann's had their tie-dye kits on sale, I couldn't resist. Of course everyone got to make one for themselves too:
Here's a close up of the finished product for the baby:
And here's me at 37 weeks:
Compared with last time with Livvy at 38 weeks:
I don't know if it's possible, but I may actually be bigger this time!!! That's it for now. Have a good week!!

Wow, I can't believe we are already nearing the end of July...We have been thoroughly enjoying our summer though, and here are a few of the moments I've managed to capture:
We took the girls to a "Big Cat Encounter" at one of the pet stores near us. There is a panther behind Tia, but that is as close as we got:
Tess has graduated from her tricycle to a "big girl bike":
Matt took the big girls to a drum and bugle corp show, so to placate poor Tessie who got left behind, we had a Mc D's picnic on the living room floor:
For the Fourth of July we took the girls to a demolition derby:
And made a flag cake:
Livvy testing out the car seat that had been recently scrubbed and prepared for baby brother's arrival:
Enjoying a bit of TV while they wait for dinner after a long day of playing outside:
My sister Phoenix drove up from NC to our house with her two kids, Haven and Easton. Easton is ALWAYS either drumming on something or playing guitar on something. Here he is teaching Livvy how to drum:
He really liked that my big girls were always willing to cuddle him even when his mom was busy:
Tessie and Haven "choosing" what they want out of an American Girl doll catalog. (They decided they wanted one of everything):
Phoenix and her kids spent a couple of days at our house before we all drove up and met my parents and other sister, Lexi, at a cabin on the lake in Northern WI. Here's Nana and Papa with Lu by the fire:
Here's the view looking down at the lake from the cabin:
We had 3 absolutely beautiful days that we took full advantage of before we got a couple days of rain. Here's Lu:
Becca and Tia swimming:
Uncle Matt and Haven cuddling. They are not normally very friendly to each other so I had to have photographic evidence that they are capable of being nice:
Matt and Becca fishing off the pontoon boat that we rented with the cabin:
Tess playing down by the water by herself. I had my camera on the wrong setting for a while and couldn't figure out how to replace it, hence the icky washed out quality. Sorry:
Riding around on the pontoon boat:
Matt enjoying his favorite cabin activity:
Tessie and Lu:
Tia floating:
Becca helping Haven float:

Tia caught several fish while we were there. This is just the first of her successes:
Matt caught lots of fish that were not big enough to keep, but we kept this one:
And filleted it:

Becca had been begging to take the pontoon out to the middle of the lake so she could jump off. This is her reaction to actually jumping:
Tia, Nana and Haven after jumping:Me after jumping:
Lexi discovered tiny little water frogs by the dock and caught several for the kids to watch:
Lu and Easton watching the frogs:
Everyone holding their frogs moments before Lexi insisted on their release:
Tessie and Haven saying goodbye to their little froggy friends:
Lexi made them all stop fussing about having to release the frogs by burying them instead:
Lu being very brave:
Tessie found another frog all by herself:
Nana helped the kids get these water lillies:

You see that muck they are standing in? It was even grosser than it looks, and only Nana was willing to help them wade it to get their lillies:The girls entertaining themselves on a rainy day:
This is Livvy in the car on the way home from the cabin. The most disturbing thing about the "camp filth" covering her is that we had a shower in the cabin that we actually used. Imagine if we had been outdoor camping for the week instead:
A good time was had by all, though somehow we managed to share a puking bug around the entire family.
Tia has reached another milestone this summer. Here she is practicing with Matt:
And here she is now:
